Hi there!

I'm Skye

I'm a mom of three, a birth doula and occupational therapist, and I loved my unmedicated births. I teach skills to help people find autonomy and success in everyday activities, like birth! I have a background in mental health, pain neuroscience education and management, relaxation techniques, anxiety coping strategies, and holistic wellness.

 

I went from having a stressful and extremely painful first birth in a hospital to a fearless, confident second birth at home that actually felt good! I've created services that blend birth education with hands-on exercises and activities to help women overcome birth fears and experience manageable birth sensations.

The Trusting Birth Works Course invites to invest you in preparing for your birth by providing specialized natural childbirth education focusing on overcoming birth fears and improving the mind-body connection for experiencing manageable birth sensations. 

 

This course upholds both the science and art of birth. 

 

Course topics include birth physiology education, pain neuroscience teachings, and uses psychological approaches for managing anxiety with processing exercises. You'll also be encouraged to consider the special significance of birth, de-medicalizing the experience and incorporating personal faith or meaning to your birth experience. 

 

This course includes exercises to process birth fears and birth meditation audio tracks to help you mentally, emotionally, and spiritually prepare for your birth. You'll also have the opportunity to practically prepare for birth with hands-on activities.
